Milanese Lace Cravat
The unique arrangement of holes (YOs) and decreases in this lovely little lace pattern swoop away from each other. The holes arc to the left and the decreases form slants to the right. The result is that the outer edges of the fabric form subtle scallops, making it a perfect stitch for any sort of scarf or neckwarmer worked the short way.
This little Cravat simply adds a couple of extra stitches to the outside edge to soften up the natural jog of the pattern into an almost subliminal scallop. The holes in the patterns provide buttonholes for 3 complimentary buttons. Finally, by double stranding 2 yarns, an exciting new fabric emerges from your needles, almost as exciting as the blooming of the pattern.
