construction:
We wanted a multi-colored scarf but without intarsia or using two colors in a row, and we wanted an easy-to-remember, quick-to-knit pattern. Also, as Wendy is still in thrall to her beloved pompom maker, it had to have pompoms. Thus, Midwinter was born.
