Midnight Sun Mittens
These mittens were inspired by my friend’s homeland, Norway. In essence, they are a mini-travelog. Starting at the bottom of the mitten: the traditional Norwegian star, evergreens, fish, waves of the sea, Viking ships, more trees topped by images of the Midnight Sun and northern lights. The blue background and the red and white dividers are reminiscent of the flag of Norway.
Kits are available from Heritage Spinning and Weaving.
