Mick sweater
Enjoy my new comfy oversized Mick sweater pattern for just $4 through November 30th. Starting December 1st, the list price will be $7. Do me a favor and add the pattern to your faves, I really appreciate it.
I knitted mine from a convenient knit kit, which comes in great fall colors and is 40% off today, Small Business Saturday right HERE.
Cozy up in the new Mick sweater. It definitely is a feel good top!
It’s also a quick and easy knit, I rate it at an advanced beginner level. Knit yours in one or up to three colors as shown in my sample in the round and flat in knit, purl and slipped stitches with a crew neckline.
The pattern is fully written for sizes 34/36/38”, 40/42/44”, 46/48/50” with a build in positive ease ranging from 25” for smallest, 23” for middle and 21” for the largest size in each grouping.
Yarn
Bulky cake, 108 yards/100 grams per cake in a #5 weight in a super soft Acrylic yarn, which is washable on gentle cycle with warm
water. Love that!
C1 - 2 skeins for 34 to 38” size. 3 skeins for sizes 40 to 50” for bottom ribbing and sleeves.
C2 - 2 skeins for 34 to 38” sizes. 3 skeins for sizes 40 to 50” for lower body and neckline.
C3 - 2 skeins for 34 to 38” sizes. 3 skeins for sizes 40 to 50” for top of body.
Notions needed
Two US size 15 (10 mm) circular needles.
Or needle size you reach gauge with!
One 16” (42 cm) long, the other 36” (81 cm) in lengths.
Scrap yarn or interchangeable cord to place stitches on hold.
4 Stitch markers, one being different to mark beginning of rounds.
Tapestry needle or crochet hook.
Gauge
8 sts and 11 rows in 4” of stockinette stitch. TEST KNITTERS used needle sizes ranging from US size 13/15 to 17 to get gauge. So making a swatch is a must to get the right fit for you.
Techniques applied
Knitting and purling in the round, slipping stitches, color changes, increasing, placing stitches on hold and picking them up later,
binding off, weaving in ends and shoulder seaming. Blocking is optional. My sample was left unblocked.
Enjoy the knit and be sure to share your finished sweater on a project page.
