Ribbons and bows can be your best friend in a slouchy hat. Work
an eyelet pattern as you knit the hat in the round, then lace your
ribbon through. A lustrous hand painted merino or wool blend
will be a treat for your body and soul.
Finished sizes:
child (adult, large adult), 17.5 (20, 22) inch circumference at brim
Materials:
180 yards of worsted or aran weight yarn
1 yard of silk ribbon
size 8, 16” circular and double-pointed needles, or size needed to obtain gauge
size 6, 16” circular needle
Gauge:
18 stitches and 24 rows to 4 inches in stockinette stitch on larger needles
