Mezcal
Mezcal is my sweater for when Summer turns to Fall this year - with an easy fit, a bit of lace, and a classic shape that will go with anything from shorts to jeans to a dress. The pattern itself is a soothing knit for travel or beach, and seamless construction means finishing just a few edges is easy.
The lace allows for a little warmth, but won’t be too heavy on a crisp day. Details such as darts at each shoulder, a ribbing that plays off the body, a cozy collar and deep cuffs play with textures and lines that show up beautifully in the yarn.
The undertones in this gorgeous Leizu DK are the star in this design and it’s the tonal variegation and silk content that make this fiber mix so special. Julie has nailed it with the colors to make it shine. She’s set up a page on her website so you can order yarn in 5 colors specifically picked for Mezcal HERE. The yarn is dyed to order and will arrive in 2-3 weeks. Leizu DK can also be found in select yarn shops that stock Julie’s yarn.
As always, the cardigan is easy to modif and notes are in the pattern on how to do so.
