They say that sometimes less is more and that is how I feel about Metric. I designed this blanket for a friend that just adopted a sweet baby boy. I thought my friend would appreciate a blanket that was a little non-traditional in color with a no-frills design. That is how Metric was born. This easy, beginner friendly knitted baby/toddler/lap blanket (because it will end up pretty big) is all about symmetry, geometric shapes and clean lines. If you are a beginner, this is a great opportunity to practice your knitting and purling for miles!

Metric is a square blanket worked in one piece and will measure a generous 35” x 36” before blocking. You can block to desired measurements. I blocked mine hard and it ended up about 44” x 44”.
