Different coloured sections of Metka mittens are formed with short row shaping (German short rows). Pattern has 9 sizes from child to adult. Mittens can be made in two or more colours. Pattern is written for three colours.

Fingering-weight yarn, at least 2 colours. Pattern uses 3 colours.

Colour A (green) 10-15 g or 40-60 m (43-66 yds)
Colour B (grey) 25-50 g or 100-200 m (109-219 yds)
Colour C (pink) 10-15 g or 40-60 m (43-66 yds)
