Mermaid's Song Beaded Scarf
This is a great way to introduce yourself to beads and knitting! This is a fairly easy to knit scarf with the flourish of a Mermaid’s tail at both ends. Add in the shiny beads and you’ve got a wonderful scarf; weighty with beads, yet soft and suptle with the lucsious drape of 100% alpaca. Just beautiful. You will need size US 6 knitting needles, I used 474 Japanese Miyuki size 6/0 noir lined crystal aurora borealis glass seed beads (you can use any 5/0 or 6/0 beads that strike your fancy), and a size US 12 steel crochet hook, along with one skein of Joseph Galler Heather Prime Alpaca in color 223.
Full written instruction on hooking the beads into the stitches (NO stringing on the beads ahead of time!).
I am available for knitting help via e-mail or Ravelry message.
