The Mermaid Ragdoll Lovey is a cuddly toy that has a flat body, mimicking a security blanket for babies, toddlers, and young children. This low-sew amigurumi project requires only sewing for the hair; the head and body parts are all crocheted in one piece making it almost no-sew. This pattern includes two different styles for the body, including a narrower mermaid tail (doll version) and a wider fish tail (blanket version). The hair can also be easily customized to include one hair bun or two buns. There are also instructions to add optional accessories, like hair bands and sea flowers.
This cuddly design is easy and works up quickly with super bulky yarn and a large, 5mm hook. It looks great with blanket yarn, polyester, chenille, or velvet yarn, though you can use other types of fibers too! The sample was created with Hobbii Honey Bunny, perfect for a soft cuddler. Stuffing

Optional: 12mm plastic safety eyes (x2)

WARNING: Plastic safety eyes are a choking hazard for babies and young children. Embroider the eyes instead if gifting to a little one.
