Mermaid Doll
About this pattern:
Crochet a mermaid for someone special and you’ll be giving a handmade doll to love and cherish for years to come.
The mermaids pictured here were designed with my daughters in mind. With their sweet expressions, rounder tummies, and tankini-style swimsuits, I wanted to give them a look fitting my young girls. They are larger dolls (about 18” from the top of the head to the tips of the tail) - perfect for playing with and cuddling.
You’ll need the yarn colors pictured (worsted weight), a size E crochet hook, safety eyes, a yarn needle, stuffing, and an intermediate crochet skill level. The finished dolls are about 18” tall. Your PDF purchase includes instructions for both styles of mermaid dolls pictured here.
About Crochet to Play:
Each Crochet to Play pattern gives you all the instructions you’ll need to create toys that appeal to both kids and adults. I am a firm believer that children flourish with plenty of opportunities for creativity. When you give a child the toys you have handmade from these patterns, you are giving tools for story-telling, dramatic play, understanding character, and more!
Patterns are written in US crochet terminology and are meant for the intermediate crocheter.
You will receive an instant download PDF and will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open your document. Your pattern will include step by step instructions and helpful photographs.
