This lovely lady (or gent) is a fun take on the mermaid dolls I had as a kid. She can be under-stuffed at the waist to sit up on a shelf. The hair can be done any number of ways. I have given a basic style, but you can design your own based on the shaping provided.

Finished mermaid is about 12 inches long, when using Red Heart Super Saver yarn. Gauge is not important.

Advanced pattern. Need to have knowledge of single crochet (sc), double crochet (dc), front post double crochet (fpdc), foundation dc (fdc), increases and decreases, working in the round, amigurumi stuffing, and part attachment (with yarn needle). Experience with making crocheted stuffed animals is suggested.

Scrap yarn for sea shell top (Sea Shell Color)
Scrap yarn for sea star hair bow (Sea Star Color)
Scrap black yarn (for eye lashes)

2 15mm safety eyes, any color
Stitch markers
H (5.00mm) hook
Yarn Needle
Pink eyeshadow for cheek color (optional)
