The mermaid fascinator headband. Made with 100% colour wash cotton in size 9m to 2yrs: 43-49cm head.

The beautiful headband is created using Crocodile stitch to create the mermaid scales. It is worked in a long colour wash ombre style cotton called Moda Vera Mornington. You could substitute with other verigated 8Ply yarns or make it in a sold colour.

CFDC: Chainless foundation double crochet.
SC: Single crochet
DC: Double crochet

Materials:

1x 50gm ball of 8ply Cotton will yield Aprox 3 headbands.
Recommended yarn: Moda Vera Mornington

Wool/darning/yarn needle
HOOK SIZE: 3.5/4
Hook size will be determined by your crochet style. Size up or down to achieve the correct tension for your yarn.
Using a smaller or larger hook can be used to create different sizes.

Gauge: 18 DC in 10cm of back band
3 scales repeats in 10cm
