Construction and Design
This super thick and squishy cowl begins with a provisional cast on and is then joined in the round and worked as a tube so that it is doubly thick and the wrong side is completely hidden. Once completed the ends are grafted together for a seamless finish. Warm, cosy and unfussy, just slip over the head, squish it down in the front and you are ready to go.
The fabric is worked holding the main colour only on the even numbered rows and both the main colour and contrast colour held together for the odd numbered rows. This provides lovely little specks of colour throughout the fabric and is perfect for variegated and multi coloured yarns but would work well with a solid as the contrast colour as well. Lots of beautiful options for combining colours make this a fun project to knit up again and again.
