Melting Pot DK Sweater is a bigger cousin to the Melting Pot Sweater pattern. It follows the same stash-busting concept but in a thicker squishier yarn.

The beauty of the Melting Pot DK Sweater is that you can throw any 3 random colors of DK yarn in the “pot” and it would turn into a truly unique and beautiful sweater. All the yarns are carried through the project without breaking meaning just a few ends to weave in (a photo tutorial is included).

Anything goes! Heavily variegated? Yes! A lightly speckled? Yes! Gradients and ombres? Yes! Leftovers and minis? Yes! Solids and tonals? Yes! And holding 2 strands of fingering to get a DK works too! It’s time to stash dive! Or go check your favorite dyers’s website! Or ask for help at your LYS!

The Melting Pot Sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down in a simple slip stitch pattern. Starting from the rolled neck, rows are worked back and forth to raise the back neckline for a better fit. The yoke is then worked in the round to a sleeve separation. The sleeve stitches are put on hold while the body is finished and then returned to the needle to finish the sleeves.

The sweater has 2 sleeve options: cropped or long sleeves. Instructions for all versions are given. The body length is easily adjustable to create a perfect fit.
