ABOUT THE PATTERN AND DESIGN
The ultimate stash-buster, the Melange Vest is designed with a color changing technique that results in a visually striking blend of shades. The vest can either be worked with 1 strand of fingering weight held with 1 strand of mohair, or 1 strand of sport weight yarn alone. It’s worked top-down and seamlessly allowing you to try it on as you go, and customize the length to your wishes. The pattern instructions explain the color changing technique in text and video formats, but you can also use just a few colors if you’d like.

SKILLS USED
This pattern is not recommended for beginners. You should know how to crochet, read a crochet pattern, count stitches and rows, work foundation stitches, increase, work along the edge of a row, decrease, work ribbing around an edge, and add buttons. All other techniques are explained in the pattern.

SIZING
This pattern comes with instructions for 9 sizes: XS (S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL) from bust circumferences of 28-62 in 71-158 cm. The vest is intended to be worn with 1-3 in 2.5-7.5 cm of positive ease, but the size guide and measurements for the vest itself can be found within the pattern.

MATERIALS
Yarn: This vest is meant to be a scrap yarn project, so any yarn that matches the gauge in the pattern should work. I recommend using either 1 strand of fingering weight yarn held with 1 strand of lace weight mohair, or 1 strand of sport weight yarn by itself.
Hook: F/3.75 mm crochet hook or any other hook needed to obtain the gauge
Other: Stitch markers, darning needle, scissors, tape measure, 6-21 mm buttons
