Mega Cowl
Got some gifts to knit but time is limited? Want a super-quick project that gives instant gratification? Not sure what to make with some big, squishy yarn you’ve got in your stash? Have some handspun yarn you’d really like to make something with? This pattern is for you!
This cosy two-toned lace and garter stitch cowl is designed for Superbulky yarn. It is a very quick, satisfying knit with an easy lace pattern feature.
It is worked flat, on the bias, and instructions are written for one size. All instructions are written and reference yarn usage as a proportion of your total for easy customisation and yarn substitution.
Techniques
The instructions specify the use of a provisional cast on and a three needle bind off. Links to Youtube videos are included to help you with both as well as an alternative for sewing up if you don’t want to use either of those techniques and would feel more comfortable just casting on and off in your preferred method.
The pattern is also designed for the join to be 1/2 way into the garter section so that no matter your method for joining, the seam will sit at the back of the neck.
