My inspiration for the Meet Me in The Middle shawl was my hope that all the people of the world might work together and live in harmony. In this shawl, each tier flows into the next, creating a unified body of work. As knitters, our love for fiber, texture and style unify us, without regard for the ways in which we are different.

As I prepare to make the long journey from my home in southern Siberia to the Edinburgh Yarn Fest, I am looking forward to meeting knitters from many new places and cultures. In celebration of my dream for a world where unity and acceptance prevail, I have designed a shawl that represents all people, flowing toward each other and working together to create a world of respect and tolerance. 1.5 skeins of Bello by The Plucky Knitter (55% merino, 45% cashmere; 380 yards / 347 m / 105 gr) 160 gr of yarn total in Hi-Ho Silver!

For a worsted sample:
0.6 skein of Bello Worsted by The Plucky Knitter (55% merino, 45% cashmere; 200 yards / 183 m / 105 gr) 120 yards in Oatmeal
