Meditation is the ultimate comfort knit. This lightweight sweater is knit in pieces, to make the most of the relaxed and comforting garter stitch. The side seams also bring structure to the otherwise loose sweater. DK weight yarn and big needles mean this sweater works up in no time. Stress-free to knit and wear, what could be better?

Materials
Yarn:
4 (4, 4, 4) (5, 5, 5) (6, 6, 7) skeins of Pirtin Kehräämö Kampalanka 110 tex x 4 (100% wool; 210 m / 230 yds per 100 g)
OR 682 (735, 789, 840) (922, 997, 1050) (1135, 1220, 1303) m / 747 (805, 865, 920) (1010, 1092, 1150) (1244, 1336, 1427) yds of DK weight yarn. You can also use a worsted weight yarn or DK weight held together with a lace weight yarn (see notes section in the pattern).

Needles: 6 mm / US 10 circular needle or size needed to obtain gauge. A separate needle in the same size for three-needle bind-off.

Notions: 2 stitch holders or waste yarn, 5 mm / US 8 crochet hook

The sample was knit using Pirtin Kehräämö Kampalanka 110 tex x 4 in a color I dyed myself using natural dyes.

Gauge
12 sts x 22 rows = 10 cm / 4” in garter stitch, before blocking.
12 sts x 17 rows = 10 cm / 4” in garter stitch, after blocking.

The sweater is intended to be worn with 23 cm / 9” of positive ease at the bust.
