This adorable chequerboard cardigan for children has the appearance of Fair Isle colourwork, but is actually knitted using a simple slipped stitch technique, meaning only one colour per row is worked.
The fabric is soft and squishy, and the garment will feel comfortable and cosy to wear.
It has been designed for 10 age groups, from birth to five years.
Although the pattern was designed in Sublime Baby Cashmere Merino Silk DK, two of the shades have been discontinued. The Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino was selected as an alternative.
