Matilda
MATiLDA is an open cardigan, knitted seamlessly from the top down. The front and back are knitted in cable stitches, and the sleeves are knitted in stockinette stitch. Starting with the right front piece, work in cable stitches until the specified length is reached. The stitches are placed on a thread, and the left front piece is knitted to the correct length. All stitches for the back are picked up from the cast-on edges of both front pieces and knitted in cable stitches. The back piece is one cable shorter than the front pieces. When all pieces are joined, the lower body piece is knitted with a few A-line increases.
The sleeve stitches are picked up around the armhole and knitted in stockinette stitch. The sleeve is formed first by decreasing every other round, then with wider intervals.
