One of my all time favourite films is ‘The Secret Garden’ (1993).
To me, Mary’s hat is an integral part of the film.

This hat - the ‘MaryLennoxHat’ was inspired by this film.

You will use max 100g of DK yarn for both hat and pom-pom.
100g will be enough to make the hat using up to 85g yarn, then using the remainder to make a pom-pom as large as you like.

The hat is knit in the round and is a relaxing knit.

Sample yarn use:
85g DK for the hat size ‘L’ rust hat excluding pom-pom.
82g DK for the size ‘L’ multicolour hat excluding pom-pom.
70g for the grey size ‘M’ hat excluding pom-pom.
