Gauge
Chevron st pattern: 16 sts = 4 inches, 12 pattern rows = 4 inches
The st gauge should be measured evenly across sts, sloping in same direction as sts. If you measure straight across chevrons, st gauge is closer to 20 sts = 4 inches. Each chevron measured straight across = 3 1/2 3 3/4, 4 1/4, 4 1/2, 5, 5 1/2 inches.
Take time to check gauge.
