Marley Poppins Cowl
This cowl was an experiment using the marlisle technique developed by Anna Maltz where a minimum of two colors are worked together (marled) with stranded color work. Cables were added as a new twist.
The marled stitches (using both colors) are worked as purls, while one strand of color is used for the cables. Each cable uses both colors (2 sts for Color A and 2 sts for Color B). Working cables with the marled purls with the single color cables produce an interesting effect.
It has a two-color braided cast on and a two-color braided bind off.
This pattern was originally published in Cast On, the official magazine of The Knitting Guild Association.
