Marianne Sweater is an elegant lacy pullover sweater knit from the top down in the round with long sleeves. It is seamless and comes in 6 size options. I named it Marianne after the sister of Eleanor from Jane Austen’s Sense & Sensibility who was full of romantic ideals, whimsy and poetry. The lace and lighter yarn weight makes this a playful companion to the Eleanor Sweater, as Marianne was to her sister Eleanor in the book.
Both charted and written instructions for the lace patterns (an adaptation of a stitch found in 50 Fabulous Knitted Lace Stitches by Rita Weiss and one of my own designs) are included. I hope you will find this sweater to be cheerful addition to your wardrobe.

MATERIALS & INFO
Yarn: Tynd by Woolfolk, “No. 12” colorway (red), 223 yds/50 grams. You’ll need 5 (6, 7, 7, 8, 8) skeins or approx. 1200 (1300, 1400, 1500, 1600, 1700) yards of your favorite fingering yarn in either a solid or semi-solid colorway

Gauge: 28 st x 36 rnds = 4” in Stockinette st

Needles: US 2.5 /3 mm 24”-32” circular needle (due to number of stitches) and dpns

Notions: tapestry needle (for weaving in ends), stitch markers, stitch holders or waste yarn

Finished size: Bust 32” (36”, 40”, 44”, 48”, 52”) with 0”-2” positive ease

Be sure to download the “Tips” and “Worksheets” for the yoke increases for your size. I have also included links to help with the bind off techniques for the sweater (in the pattern itself) since you’ll be doing a picot bind off on the lace panel in the back and will also need a stretchy bind off for the ribbing so the sweater will cooperate when you wear it.
