SIZES

Your best fit

Choose the size closest to your actual upper chest measurement: 27.75 (31.75, 35.75, 39.25) (42.25, 44.5, 47.5) (50.5, 53.5, 56.5, 59.25) inches / 70.5 (80.5, 91, 99.5) (107.5, 113, 120.5) (128.5, 136, 143.5, 150.5) cm

Upper chest is measured above the full bust, at an angle close to diagonal beneath the underarms, and straight across the back.

Margot’s Love Potion is designed with approximately 4 inches / 10 cm of positive ease at the fullest part of your bust and 2.5 inches / 6.5 cm of positive ease in the upper arm.

If you need additional room for the bust, working the optional short row shaping will give you the best fit in the shoulders and armholes, while still making room for your chest. Short rows add length to the front only of the garment, so that the hem does not rise in the front.

Bess is wearing size 3, cup 1, with 3.5 inches / 9 cm of positive ease at the full bust and 1.5 inches / 4 cm of positive ease at the
upper arm. Her upper chest is 34.5 inches / 87.5 cm and she is 5’ 3” / 160 cm tall.

YARN

Sample A is shown in Camellia Fiber Company Serene Merino Aran

100% Merino; 164 yds / 150 m per 100 g skein. This is an 8-ply non-superwash Aran weight yarn. Shown in color Evergreen.

This yarn has very good stitch definition due to the many plies. It has a soft and velvety texture with just a bit of a rustic feel.

You can substitute this yarn with a plied nonsuperwash wool.

Sample B is shown in Berroco Yarn Gimlet

42% Cotton, 38% Alpaca, 10% Wool, 5% Polyester, 5% Polyamide; 95 yds / 87 m per 50 g skein. This is a blown-fiber construction, bulky weight yarn. Shown in color Cosmopolitan (10709).

This is a very light and soft yarn with a halo. This lighter yarn will hold its shape better than many other bulky weight yarns.

You can substitute this yarn with another blown-fiber or chainette-style yarn.

685 (770, 860, 945) 1030, 1115, 1200375, 1460, 1545) yds / 630 (705, 785, 865) 940, 1020, 1100255, 1335, 1410) m; 5 (5, 6, 6) 7, 7, 8, 9, 10) skeins of Serene Merino, 8 (9, 10, 10)
11, 12, 135, 16, 17) skeins of Gimlet.

For optional bust darts, you will need an additional 15 - 70 yds / 15 - 65 m.
