Introduction
Maren-Sofie is a top-down yoke sweater with seamless construction The top-down construction lets you begin with the fun part. This construction also makes it easy to try on your sweater as you knit so you can tailor fit the yoke depth and length of your body and sleeves. You can opt in or out of short rows to lower the neckline if you like. You can go wild with colorwork and knit a multi-color yoke, or simply make a two-color version (as photographed). Knit with wool or cotton/wool. Maren Sofie (like her sister-pattern Fie) has a magical fit that is super comfortable and flattering. Seriously! I designed this sweater and Fie or a workshop hosted by North Light Fiber on Block Island and the focus of the workshop was colorwork (of course) and knitting sweaters that fit. Every knitter loved even the fit of the sample sweater. Later in the summer 30 knitters in Brazil made Fie in a workshop (which has this same construction) and they were also thrilled with the fit. The pattern is written with hints on where to add length if needed and how to tailor-fit the sleeves to fit you perfectly. In the workshop on Block Island, inspired by all the colors of North Light Fibers, the knitters played with the colorwork chart and knit with 3, 4, and 5 colors and their sweaters were gorgeous. I hope you love making this beautiful sweater!

P.S. The little sweater in cover photo is Lille Lars which will be released next week.
