Marcy is the perfect project if you have some balls in two colors in stock. The sweater is oversized, you work it in singular pieces and sew it together in the end. The neckline is very wide so that you can let it slip over your shoulders.
Back and front are worked straight in an interesting and easy-to-knit slip stitch pattern (each worked in one single color), the sleeves are worked in stockinette stitch in two colors. - I used the Lana Grossa “Dodici”, you’ll need approx. 5 (6/7/8/9/10) balls in main color (here: white) and 4 (5/6/7/8/9) balls contrasting color (here: taupe)
- US size 7 4,5 mm circular needle (or any size to obtain gauge), 24” and 32”
Gauge:
20 sts and 28 rows = 4” in square 10 x 10 cm in stockinette st
