Crocheting cables may seem challenging, but this vest will prove otherwise. Each cable is worked on the RS as a front-post stitch, wrapping around a noticeable stitch on the row below, and all other stitches are worked as double crochet, including every stitch on each WS row. It’s a really fast project, with a satisfying, cozy cabled result!

Gauge
15 sts = 4.25” / 11 cm and 12 rows = 4” / 10 cm in Center Cable Panel. 18 sts (2 stitch repeats) = 5” / 12.5 cm in Side Cable Panels. Take time to save time, check your gauge.

Notes
• The back and front are worked separately from the bottom up. The shoulders and sides are seamed. Then one round of double crochet is added for the neck and armbands.
• For some sizes, the front body is wider than the back, and more stitches are decreased for the armholes.
• All WS rows are worked as double crochet across all stitches. Front post stitches are only worked on RS rows.
• Each time a front post stitch is worked, skip one stitch behind it before working the next double crochet stitch.
• If you want to avoid holes beside the cables, work the stitch (or stitches) skipped behind the front post stitch of the cable together with the double crochet stitch beside it as dc2tog (or dc3tog).
