Manrique Blanket
Named aſter Lanzarote-born artist César Manrique, who is celebrated for his bold use of colour, this rainbow-hued blanket pairs traditional granny squares with dynamic corner-to-corner blocks.
MATERIALS
● Paintbox Yarns
Wool Mix Aran, 50% wool/50% acrylic, 100g/180m/196yds
Yarn A: Pillar Red 814 x 1 ball
Yarn B: Blood Orange 819 x 1 ball
Yarn C: Buttercup Yellow 822 x 1 ball
Yarn D: Lime Green 828 x 2 balls
Yarn E: Marine Blue 833 x 2 balls
Yarn F: Kingfisher Blue 834 x 2 balls
Yarn G: Pansy Purple 847 x 2 balls
Yarn H: Paper White 800 x 4 balls
● 4mm hook
TENSION
Work each motif to measure 20 x 20cm/8 x 8in using 4mm hook, or size required to obtain tension.
MEASUREMENTS
Finished blanket: 107 x 107cm/42in x 42in.
