Orangs are reddish-brown apes that live in the rainforests of Indonesia. Use an interestingly-textured yarn so your orang looks extra furry (and cuddly, don’t forget cuddly)!
Height: Approx 8.5” tall
Yarns: Mango Moon Dharma (100% recycled silk; 150 yds/137m) /I-4/
- MC: 2 skeins in color Coffee Bean
- CC: 1 skein in color Apricot
Hooks and Notions:
- Size H/8 (5.0mm) crochet hook
- Tapestry needle
- Two 12mm copper plastic craft eyes
- A few handfuls of stuffing
Gauge
6 rnds of sc = 3” diameter circle
note: When you’re crocheting with handspun yarn that is thicker in some spots than others (like Dharma), your gauge may vary slightly from specified. What is important is that you like the look of your crocheted fabric, and change needle sizes, if necessary, until you are satisfied.
