Mandala Pot Holder
I’ve become a little bit addicted to creating mandalas recently and I decided to design a pot holder which could look as a small mandala and could be not only used for its purpose. When not used in the kitchen it can be hanged on a wall. But it can also be a nice decoration for your old (or new) pillow cover. And if you don’t crochet a bottom part for this pot holder it can serve as a decoration for a table – just a small doily.
This easy to follow pattern (13 pages) is written for one size. It contains step by step full written instructions in English using standard crochet abbreviations and US terms (stitch guide is given in the pattern). It also contains lots of pictures explaining all the tricky and difficult places.
Crochet level: Intermediate (front post stitches are used in this pattern), though an “adventurous” beginner can handle it!
The size of finished pot holder depends on the yarn and hook you use.
Materials: yarn in 4 colors (I used 100% rayon yarn “Jazz” (100g/3.5 oz., 236m/216 yds.); crochet hook 2.75 mm (C) or the size that will give an acceptable gauge; scissors and tapestry needle to weave the ends.
There are two copies of the pattern offered to download: one is very detailed with many pictures, and second copy is printer friendly (with written instructions only and no pictures).
