The fantastical rippled undersides of mammatus clouds usually mean dramatic weather is about to happen. You’ll use two yarn weights and tuck stitches (brioche) to create a cowl with a dramatic texture. The thinner yarn is slipped for 3 rounds and then used to anchor the puffy sections. It’s easy and fun, and you only work with one yarn per row.
The Mammatus Cowl was part of the 2018 Manitoba Fibre Festival Challenge Collection.
