Malawi Cichlid Skinny Scarf
Of all the lakes of the Great Rift Valley, Malawi is the one that teems with life. A constant supply of fresh water from its feeder rivers means it has avoided the fate of some of its northern cousins, whose lakes are too alkaline for most creatures; Malawi is home to the brightly colour fish known as cichlids, which dart and slither in the clear fresh waters under a sparkling African sun.
A skein of brightly coloured silk yarn and a smattering of shimmering beads are all that is needed to create a very simple yet effective scarf which will sparkle around your neck like shoals of tropical fish.
This project is perfect for that brightly-coloured skein that you bought on impulse but aren’t sure what to do with!
Many thanks to all of my fabulous test knitters! Any mistakes remaining are mine alone; please pm me if you find any.
