This is a great pattern for using up odds and ends of yarn and works up quickly. You can knit the headband in one color or work the garter stitch in one color and the stockinette stitch and I-Cord in a second color. The I-Cord in the back makes it more comfortable to wear. The pattern is worked on bulky yarn and size 10 needles, but it could also be worked in a lighter yarn and smaller needle. You would just need to work a gauge swatch and change the number if stitches required.
