The Majestic crochet hat is made vertically, flat, in one piece. Repeating panels are connected as you go. The Majestic pattern is created using short rows and slip stitches that are smoothly integrated into the ribbing with an optional fold available.

Language: English.

Crochet level: Intermediate. You need to know how to make a slip stitch and a yarn over slip stitch, to be ready to learn some slip stitch modifications that are creating the majestic pattern, and to be able to follow the instructions carefully.

Inside:
• 34 pages of the pattern contain charts, word instructions, progress photos on the gauge, detailed video tutorials with English karaoke-style subtitles on the gauge, and the assembling stitch videos. Two different initial stitch count panel instructions.
• Convenient navigation inside the pattern.
Crochet hooks: 4.5 mm – 5 mm.
Size: not specified. The pattern is based on your calculations. Hence:

• Prepare the gauge and take its measurements.
• Make your calculations.
• Choose one of the 2 provided Instructions to fit your size.
• Decide on the fold.

You can create your hat with 6 or 7 panels with a nice and round crown. Five panels for a pointy crown and eight or more panels for a volumetric crown. The choice is yours.

Materials:

  1. Yarn: choose yarn suitable for a 4.5 mm – 5 mm crochet hook, 110 m per 50 g and thicker. 100 g for a medium-sized beanie and 200g for the hat with a wide fold. Solid colors, tweeds, or hand-dyed yarns. Variegated yarns will obscure the stitch pattern but can add other exciting effects. Z twist single-ply yarns are not recommended for this kind of stitching.
  2. Crochet hooks size 4.5 mm - 5 mm.
  3. Tapestry needle.
