Majava
The Majava Cowl was designed for Magpie Fiber + Shellican’s Beav-a-long! Check it out, from Magpie’s website;
“Do you have a special joke or memory that’s gotten you through the last year or so? For The Magpies, it’s definitely our running obsession with all things Beaver! We’ve dyed up beaver colorways, made all the beaver puns with our fiber friends, and laughed ourselves silly the entire way. But we thought to ourselves, “Why keep the joy to just The Magpies? How can we bring a little Beaver joy to everyone?”

Majava is the Finnish word for beaver, and I thought a colorwork bandana cowl (with fringe of course) would be super cute and help keep us eager beavers warm and cozy.
This cowl is knit in the round in a tube, with increases made to create an elongated triangle shape, then joined into a bandana cowl. Optional fringe completes the look! This pattern takes just 2 skeins of sport weight yarn and is a quick and satisfying project.
