The Maisey Square & Blanket pattern includes instructions for the Maisey Square, a simple yet fun floral square, as well as instructions for a join & border to turn your squares to any size blanket that you’d like!

In the pattern’s Appendix, you’ll also get instructions for turning the center flower into a coaster, plus additional flower colorway ideas.

Difficulty: This pattern is rated as Intermediate; however, it is written with Adventurous Beginners in mind.

Materials Needed:
DK yarn
4mm hook
Scissors
Stitch markers
Yarn needle

Size:
A finished square measures 5.5 in. across.
My finished 4-Square x 4-Square blanket measures 25 in. across.

Depending on your tension, yours may come out bigger or smaller, even if you use the stated yarn and hook size. To adjust the square’s and your blanket’s size, you can change your tension, yarn weight, and/or hook size.

Yarn:
  • Color A - Stylecraft Special DK in Duck Egg
  • Color B - Stylecraft Special DK in Storm Blue
  • Color C - Stylecraft Special DK in Mushroom
  • Color D - Stylecraft Special DK in Boysenberry
  • Color E - Stylecraft Special DK in Cream

Each square uses approximately 2-16 yds. of Colors A-D and 22-26 yds. of Color E.

My finished 4-Square x 4-Square blanket uses approximately 1 skein of Colors A-D and 2 skeins of Color E.
