Mahogany Turtle Crochet Shawlette
The Mahogany Turtle crochet Shawlette is an easy project perfect for the confident beginner or the experienced crocheter looking for a simple quick project.
The (Us) double crochet allows the yarn to shine and it would be perfect for your favourite hand dyed yarn and/or fade set.
Pattern notes:
Yarn: This pattern is versatile and can be made in any weight of yarn. You will need 400m+. The sample shown is hand dyed merino 4ply by Mahogany Turtle.
Hook/gauge: There is no gauge requirements for the shawl you can use which ever size hook gives you the stitch definition and drape you are most happy with. A guide of sizes are 2ply/Lace - 3mm, 4ply- 4mm, 8ply/DK- 5mm, 10ply/Aran/Worsted- 6mm
Notions:
Stitch Markers: Two stitch markers are required to mark first and last stitches in each row. Place the marker into the top of the ch2 or top of the sc1 as per instructions. If you have trouble working into the stitch with the stitch marker attached, you can remove it just before working into the stitch.
Darning needle: A darning needle is required for working your tails in.

Dc4tog: Double crochet 4 together.
