The sample is done in light weight yarn with a 3.00 mm hook. However, if you use medium yarn with a 4.00 mm hook, then the dimensions become 10 cm x 4.5 cm (4 in x 1 3/4 in).

It also makes a nice brooch, ornament for a gift package, bracelet, or even bookmark or lunch box strap (when the ends are connected with a long elastic band).
