The cowl and the scarf are knitted in 2 parts, so that the pleats face the fairisle in the round. The cast on and later 1. rnd of fold is knitted with 2 circulars held parallel to avoid having to pick up sts from the WS. The second circulars are folded and held to the back and knitted together with the stitches from the working needle to close the fold.
