Named for Anteos maerula, the Yellow Angled-Sulfur, Maerula is a shallow, asymmetrical triangle shawl with rounded corners and a scooped top edge. Maerula is crocheted side-to-side in a lacy stitch pattern inspired by butterfly wings; the striking edging is worked in one with the rows.

Maerula will look best in a solid, tonal, long gradient, or lightly speckled yarn. Fingering, sport, or dk weight yarns recommended.

Pattern is 5 pages long and includes charts.
