About
Maema DK is a mid-weight cardigan knit top down in one piece. It features a beautifully textured Honeycomb Brioche on the fronts and back, with Stockinette Stitch sleeves and a wide Garter Stitch collar. It is an open front cardigan with exaggerated armholes and roomy elbow length sleeves.
Needles and Notions
US6 / 4 mm and US4 / 3.5 mm circular knitting needles of various lengths, stitch markers, darning needle.
Gauge
22 sts x 26 rows = 4” / 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch on larger needles, or size to obtain gauge.
17 sts x 36 rows = 4” / 10 cm in Honeycomb Brioche Stitch on larger needles, or size to obtain gauge.
Make sure you are using the same needle size for both gauge swatches, as both patterns are worked at the same time. The suggested needle is US6 / 4 mm, but use the needle required to match gauge.

Flock Fiber Fireside DK 115 g (4 oz) / 255 yards (230 meters); 100% Superwash Merino; DK Weight in Spiced Pecan
Since this is an open front cardigan, it is recommended you choose your size based on your upper bust measurement, which is the circumference around your body at your underarms, above your full bust.
Comparing this measurement with the Body Circumference listed, choose a size with approximately 0-4” / 0-10 cm of positive ease.
Model has an upper bust measurement of 41” / 104 cm and is wearing size Large with 2” / 5 cm of positive ease.
