Madeleine est un gilet à la fois classique et élégant avec une petite bordure fantaisie en bas du corps.
Inspiré des codes de la petite veste Chanel : encolure arrondie, coupe droite et assez courte, le gilet se referme avec une patte de boutonnage.
Le motif de « prairie fleurie » entourant le fond du gilet lui donne un cachet très féminin.
Je recommande de tricoter le modèle dans un fil Fingering doublé d’un fil de mohair dentelle pour obtenir un effet très douillet. Toutefois, le modèle peut également se tricoter dans un seul fil d’épaisseur Sport/DK.

Le gilet se tricote de haut en bas (top down) en commençant par l’encolure en raglans.
Ensuite, on laisse les manches en attente pour tricoter le corps en jersey endroit.
La patte de boutonnage se réalise en même temps que le corps en point mousse.
La bande de motif fantaisie se tricote à part, en jersey envers, de bas en haut et vient ensuite se raccorder au corps à l’aide d’un grafting.
Ensuite, on tricote les manches mises en attente à l’aide la technique du Magic loop.
Enfin, on termine en relevant les mailles pour tricoter la bordure d’encolure en point mousse.

Madeleine is a classic and elegant jacket with a lace panel at the bottom of the body.
It is inspired by the Chanel vest look: with a rounded neckline, a straight and slightly cropped silhouette, this jacket closes with a button band.
The “prairie in bloom” motif that goes around the bottom gives it a very feminine look.
I recommend you to knit this jacket with a fingering weight yarn paired with a strand of mohair for a very cozy effect. However, it is also possible to knit it only with a sport/DK weight yarn.

The jacket is knit top-down, starting with the raglan shaping.
The sleeves are then put on hold while the body is knit in stockinette stitch.
The button bands are knit at the same time in garter stitch.
The lace panel is knit separately, in reverse stockinette stitch, from the bottom up, before being grafted to the body.
The sleeves are then knitted using Magic loop.
Finally, stitches are picked up to knit the garter stitch neckband.
