Notes
The identical front and back pattern, with a side thumb gusset, means these mittens are reversible and can be worn on either hand.

When increasing for the thumb gusset, lif tthe strand of MC that runs between the stitches to work each M1 increase.

This pattern is written for one size, but it’s easy to knit a larger or smaller mitten by changing needle sizes. For a finished circumference of 8 1/2”, knit at a gauge of 32 stitches to 4” using a larger needle. For a finished circumference of 7 1/2”, knit at a gauge of 36 stitches to 4” using a smaller needle.
