Lydia Crescent Lace Shawl
Small shawls are a brilliant way to show off the sock yarn that’s too pretty to wear on your feet!
This crescent shaped shawl has a great shape that’s easy to wear, as it stays on without a shawl pin; it can work as a scarf and be draped in many different ways.
It’s designed to use one skein (440 yds/402 m) of a solid, semi-solid yarn or gently variegated yarn.
Beginning with a center neck cast on, it features 2 columns of yarn-over increases, plus increases at the edges. Baby cables accent the 2 “spines” of the shawl.
The first section is all in garter st, so the knitter will see fast progress. The pretty lace edging (2 sets of interlocking triangles outlined in yarn-overs) forms a scalloped edge which is blocked into points to complete the graceful feminine look.
Pattern has been professionally tech-edited. It contains both written and charted instructions.
