Description
The Lux Beanie is a stylish, chunky hat that is easy to knit. The beanie is worked bottom-up in the round with a rib pattern (k, p) using two strands of chunky mohair. Once the beanie reaches the desired length, decreases are made using a centered double decrease, which creates a neatly centered stitch between the two decreased stitches.

Finished Measurements
Fits a head circumference of approximately 54-60 cm.

Materials
200 g Fluffy Mohair from Cowgirlblues (200 m/100 g) or similar chunky mohair, such as Ballerina Chunky Mohair from Sandnes (135 m/50 g), Fat Mohair from Sysleriget (200 m/100 g), or chunky mohair from Siesto Fibres (200 m/100 g).

The beanie shown in the photo is knitted with two strands of Fluffy Mohair from Cowgirlblues in the color Camel.

You can choose a different yarn if you maintain the correct gauge.

Additionally, you will need 1 stitch marker, that can open as a safety pin.

Recommended Needles
The beanie is knitted in the round in rib (k, p) on a 5 mm circular needle (40-80 cm).

I recommend using an 80 cm circular needle throughout and knitting the entire beanie using the Magic Loop method.

Alternatively use a 40 cm circular needle and switch to an 80 cm circular needle for the decreases when there are too few stitches to continue using a 40 cm circular needle or pull out some of the cable and continue the 40 cm circular needle.

Gauge
15 sts x 20 rows = 10 x 10 cm in rib pattern on 5 mm needles in the round.
