The Luscofusco shawl is a semicircular shawl knitted from the top-down starting with an i-cord cast on and followed by different sections where two strands of yarn play together to give different shapes and textures. The final shawl will be surrounded by an i-cord giving a smooth and perfect finish.

To knit the shawl you will be using two strands of yarn, sometimes you will use only one of them and sometimes both of them held together.

TECHNIQUES
For knitting the shawl it is necessary to know how to knit, purl, k2tog, i-cord tab cast on, follow written instructions for lace or read charts. Despite of that, the shawl is very simple and easy to knit. Designed to be accessible for all knitting levels.

GAUGE
20 sts x 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4x4 inches) in stockinette stitch on 3.5 mm / US 4 needles knitted flat with fingering weight yarn after blocking.

NEEDLES
3.5 mm / US 4 circular needles with a 80 cm / 32” (or longer) cable. Or size needed to obtain gauge.

MATERIALS
1 skein of BFL by El Robledal de la Santa Mohair (100% Superwash Bluefaced Leicester, 400 m / 437 yds - 100 g) colourway King of the Fall. Or aprox 400 m / 437 yds of fingering weight yarn.

1 skein of Silky Mohair by El Robledal de la Santa Mohair (75% Fine Kid Mohair, 25% Mulberry Silk, 420 m / 459 yds - 50 g) in colourway Stuck on Repeat. Or aprox 420 m / 459 yds of mohair lace weight yarn.

ESP
Luscofusco es un chal semicircular que se teje de arriba hacia abajo. Se empieza por un montaje en i-cord al que le siguen de diferentes secciones donde dos hebras de lana juegan juntas para crear formas y texturas. El chal final está bordeado con un i-cord para darle un acabado limpio y perfecto.

Para tejer el chal vas a usar dos hebras de lana, a veces vas a tejer solo con una de ellas y otras veces con ambas hebras a la vez.

TÉCNICAS
Para tejer el chal es necesario saber cómo tejer derecho, revés, 2pj, montaje i-cord tab, leer instrucciones escritas para encaje o saber leer gráficos. A pesar de esto, el chal es muy sencillo y fácil de tejer. Está pensado para todos los niveles.

TENSIÓN
20 pts x 26 vueltas = 10 x 10 cm (4x4 pulgadas) en punto jersey con agujas de 3.5 mm / US 4 tejido en plano con lana fingering después de bloquear.

AGUJAS
Agujas circulares de 3.5 mm / 4 US con cable de 80 cm / 32” (o más largo). O número de aguja necesario para obtener la tensión.
