A Lunula is a Bronze Age golden ornament found primarily in Ireland (though a few have been discovered in both Britain and on the Continent, too)

They are paper-thin hammered crescent shapes made of gold that were worn around the neck.

Lunula is worked in layered panels and is suitable for the ambitious Tunisian Crochet beginner.

The first panel is made primarily out of Tunisian Knit Stitch.
The second features cleverly-placed increases and short rows for shaping in Tunsian Simple Stitch fabric.
The third completes the border with more Tunisian Knit Stitch.
