Lunaris
Lunaris (Latin for lunar, after its moon-like shape) is a simple crescent-shaped shawl with just a bit of ruffle. Worked from the top down in Stockinette stitch with a gradient stripe pattern, it can be done monochromatically – in two yarns with similar weights but different textures – or with more distinct stripes. Wrapping it around the neck creates a scarf with cascading ruffles; draping it as a wrap really shows off the stripe pattern – either way this is a lovely light piece to wear as the seasons change.
Specific yarn requirements:
MC: 325 yds/297 m fingering weight yarn; shown in Anzula Squishy in Au Natural (contrast stripe version) and Shibui Knits Cima in Ultraviolet (monochrome version)
CC: 340 yds/352 m fingering weight yarn; shown in Anzula Cloud in Persimmon (contrast stripe version) and Plucky Knitter Primo Fingering in Fly the Concord (monochrome version)
